Jeff Brantley has cooked in more kitchens than you could hit a pole cat with; but he could never escape his roots.

His Southern upbringing, the lessons learned from his beloved Mema - those have carried with him in every kitchen he has worked.

And now, he has a new kitchen in the works, and through those works, he brings Bramble.

I was raised by two wonderful parents.

I surprised them when I entered this world. They have surprised and helped me gain a good work ethic. They taught me to work hard, fail quickly and use all of those experiences as endeavors for learning.

I loved food, I loved cooking - and I love the camaraderie that exists with restaurateurs. Those raucous individuals who bet everything on quality of service and making damn fine food.

Those are my people.

My first job taught me to never settle. Not on quality, not on experience. This is what led me to now.
